Nawas Trades began its journey on January 1, 1990, as a small Photocopy Bureau in Kattankudy. By 1992, growing demand led to expansion and relocation. New services like sworn translation, communication, and secretarial work were added. In 2004, the company entered media logistics, distributing for LAKE HOUSE across Batticaloa.
Our reliability attracted other major publishers, prompting expansion to Ampara in 2008. We partnered with Ceylon Today in 2011 and Liberty Publishers (TV Derana) in 2018. Between 2014 and 2017, we delivered for TNT. The courier arm later became Global Parcel Delivery and is now run by Aitken Spence Express.

growth. Over 150 active sellers now ship 12,000–15,000 parcels/month. Our delivery success rate
remains 96%–98%.

Thanks to our hard work, punctuality, and trust, we evolved from a communication-based business (1990–2004) into a strong logistics company (2004–present). In 2021, we became Nawas Trades (Pvt) Ltd – PV 00235158, with 36 years of total business experience.
